Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee Calls for Hate Crime Investigation
The Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) has called on law enforcement to investigate the shooting as a hate crime. In a statement, ADC National Executive Director Abed Ayoub expressed concern over the rise of anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian sentiment, stating that this incident is another example of that hate turning violent.
The victims were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where two of them remain in intensive care. The extent of their injuries is still unknown at this time.
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
