RINO Romney's Controversial Remarks

Six-time Republican Senator Mitt Romney, known for his opposition to former President Donald Trump, made some eyebrow-raising comments in a recent interview. Romney revealed to CBS's Norah O'Donnell that he would support any candidate running in the Republican primary, with one exception – Donald Trump.

Even Democrats Get a Nod

Not only did Romney express his willingness to back Republicans other than Trump, but he also stated that he would support a number of Democrats. When asked about his preference in the Republican field, Romney replied, "Uh, anybody. I'd be happy to support virtually any of the Republicans… I'd be happy to vote for a number of the Democrats too… it would be an upgrade, in my opinion, from Donald Trump."

Praise for President Biden

Romney didn't stop there. He went on to express his admiration for President Joe Biden, calling him a "very charming, engaging person" and stating that he "likes" him.

A Defiant Stance

These comments from Romney come as no surprise, as he has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his presidency. In a recent op-ed for The Atlantic, Romney attacked Trump and made it clear that he would not support his potential 2024 White House bid. Romney called for a new generation of leaders and emphasized the need for unity in confronting the nation's challenges.

Endorsement for Vivek?

Romney's strong opposition to Trump and his willingness to support Democrats if necessary has caused a stir among political commentators. Some have even suggested that Romney's remarks could be seen as an endorsement for potential Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

The End of an Era

In September, Romney announced that he would not seek reelection, stating that it was time for a new generation of leaders to shape the future. At 76 years old, Romney believes it is time for younger voices to make the decisions that will impact the world.
