Santos Rants on X Spaces

Embattled Republican Representative George Santos from New York didn't hold back during an epic rant on X Spaces Friday night. Santos expressed his belief that he will be expelled from Congress following the release of a report from the House Ethics Committee.

Colleagues Called Out

Santos didn't mince words when it came to his fellow lawmakers, accusing them of being lazy drunks who prioritize partying with lobbyists over their duties to the American people. He called out their absenteeism and the practice of giving their voting cards to someone else. Santos expressed his indifference to the potential expulsion, stating that he would wear it as a badge of honor.

House Ethics Committee Report

The House Ethics Committee recently released their report on their investigation of Representative Santos. The committee, led by Republicans, found that Santos had violated criminal laws and used his House candidacy for personal financial gain. They accused him of stealing from his campaign and deceiving donors.

Expulsion Resolution

Despite the committee's report, the House earlier this month voted overwhelmingly to reject a resolution to expel George Santos. However, the committee's scathing report was released in an effort to push for his expulsion. Expelling Santos from Congress would require a two-thirds vote of the full House.

Superseding Indictment

Last month, Rep. Santos faced a 23-count superseding indictment announced by the Department of Justice. The indictment alleges that Santos filed fraudulent fundraising reports and charged the credit cards of campaign contributors without authorization.

Co-Sponsors of Expulsion Resolution

The original resolution to expel Santos was co-sponsored by several New York GOP Representatives, including Nick LaLota, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, Nick Langworthy, and Brandon Williams.
