Threatening Prosecution

Arizona's Attorney General, Kris Mayes, who controversially won her 2022 election by a slim margin of 280 votes, has been caught in a crime. Mayes sent a letter to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, threatening them with felony charges if they proceeded with a hand count of paper ballots for the 2024 elections.

Violation of Constitutional Power

Mayes' actions go against Article 1 Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which gives the power to decide the "Times, Places and Manner of holding elections" to State Legislatures, not rogue Attorneys General. By placing the County Supervisors under duress and attempting to force a no-vote, Mayes is guilty of election interference.

Criminal Abuse of Authority

Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem has called out Mayes, stating that her actions are not only tyrannical but also criminal. In a press release, Finchem highlights the thuggish abuse of office and overreach of authority by Mayes, who has threatened elected representatives with felony prosecution for simply doing their job.

Illegal Act and Civil Rights Violation

In her letter to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, Mayes not only threatened a lawsuit and court order, but also warned that board members who voted in favor of the hand count could be held liable for misconduct, facing various felony and misdemeanor criminal penalties. This act of personal threats by the Attorney General is illegal and a criminal offense. Furthermore, there is a claim for violation of the civil rights of the Supervisors and the People they represent.

Restoring Confidence in Elections

Many are questioning why the Attorney General and Secretary of State are so terrified of a hand count. Could it be that the machines used in elections do not accurately count votes? Without a full hand count done side by side with the machine count, we may never know. This situation could have been an opportunity for the government to restore confidence in the elections process, but instead, it has turned into an epic failure.
